Once upon a time, there was a dream.

A dream of colour, of movement, of something wrapped around the shoulders that felt like both comfort and magic. A dream that began many years ago… and slowly, patiently, found its way into yarn and stitches.

Over the past few months, I have shared glimpses of that dream with you.
Barefoot moments in the veld.
Colour against ash.
Freedom in movement.
Quiet reflections in nature.

Each one a piece of something bigger.
Each one a whisper of what was to come.

And now… the story begins.

Tomorrow, we take the first stitches of The Storyteller’s Cloak together.

This crochet-along is more than just a project. It is an invitation.

An invitation to slow down.
To step away from the noise of the world, if only for a little while.
To create something with your hands that brings you peace.
To choose colour, even when life feels heavy.

It is a reminder that while the world may not always offer us happiness, we are still allowed to create it for ourselves — in small, meaningful ways.

With every motif, every row, every joining of pieces, you will not only be making a cloak… you will be creating your own story.

There is no right way to do this.
No perfect palette.
No rules beyond what feels right to you.

Whether you are drawn to bold, joyful colours or something softer and more muted… whether you crochet quickly or slowly… whether you follow every instruction or wander a little along the way…

This is your cloak.
Your story.

The crochet-along begins on Friday, 3 April.

To celebrate the beginning, the pattern is available at a 25% discount until tomorrow night.

You can find the pattern HERE.

Kits are also available HERE if you would like a carefully curated colour journey to begin with.

Wherever you are, however you begin — I hope you will join me.

Because tomorrow, we don’t just start a project…

We start a story…
