This is the second design in the Solo Skein Series. If you don’t know what this is all about, read the previous blog entry first.
I designed the Zaskia cowl while we were visiting our children in New Zealand. Obviously I went a big overboard with the yarn shopping while there. The New Zealand crafters are spoiled for choice when it comes to natural fibre yarns.
Featured in this design is Sikkim from Happy-Go-Knitty. It is a stunning blend of 65% Merino, 20% Silk, and 15% Yak. It is super soft! Normally I don’t buy singles, but this was worth the exception.

The pattern makes provision for two sizes: (child / teen and adult). It also makes provision for DK and Aran yarn, just in case your special skein is in a heavier weight than mine.
The pattern is available on Ravelry for only $3.
Enjoy it!
