Description
Double Moss Stitch gives interesting texture on the collar, the sleeves, down the sides and as a bottom border. The top can be made to any length you prefer; it will look just as good cropped, or on the hips.
This is a Measure & Make pattern, but due to the vast difference in head to body ratio between adults and babies, this pattern is not suitable for babies and toddlers.
This design calls for bulky yarn that can be knitted on knitting pins 5 mm or thicker. Light-weight yarn will not render the same result.
The sample was made with an Aran weight cotton, paired with a thin Kid-Silk, on 6 mm needles. This combination comes highly recommended.
As this is a Measure & Make pattern, I cannot give you the required yarn quantities. The sample was made for a bust measurement of 105 cm, and the yarn usage was as follows:
- 750 g Colourspun Cotton Aran (62 m / 50 g)
- 200 g Colourspun Kid-silk (210 m / 50 g)
