This little 115 cm x 115 cm blanket is an absolute delight to crochet. Each new part is a surprise.

Yarn Requirements
The official yarn for this project is MoYa DK Cotton (135 m / 50 g), available from Afrique Yarn. A 3.5 mm hook is used.
If you are doing a rainbow, you will need 13 balls of the main colour and 17 balls in contrast colours (CC). If you are doing a two-tone blanket, you will need 13 balls of colour 1 and 13 balls of colour 2.
For the Idai colour sequence please follow the instructions by Amanda Wellman under Announcements on the Ilona Slow Life Creations FB group.
If you are using any other yarn, you will have to swatch and calculate your requirements.

Tension Gauge
If you are using a kit, you have to ensure your tension is correct in order to avoid running out of yarn prematurely. Part 1 of the blanket is the test swatch. Block 1 should measure 15×15 cm. If your block is bigger, redo with a smaller hook. If your block is smaller, the choice to redo is yours.
